What's the most important thing that happened to you this month?

Posted on Oct 31st, 2007 by Jordan : LightWriter Jordan
This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for October 31, 2007:

Fluffy-2
It was a realization -- after reading this question -- that even though I may not be able to put it into words, there was a feeling-tone that arose in reaction to the question which assured me that indeed, many important things had indeed happened to me this month.

Like a healing dream (involvling neo-pagans andthe sorts of things neo-pagans like) with  bodywork happening in the dream...

Like seeing a master therapist for just a little bit of EMDR...

Like sticking with my otherr ongoing practices...

Like visiting, staying with, and absorbing the wisdom of a 90-yera-old man who drinks 8+  beers a day and has for years (Miller lite)

Like yetserday's earthquake. Nothing like a pure burst of adreninleinineineineineineine.

Like nice progress on all levels of ChiBounding...

Like making micro-progress on Enlightenment.Com (but reaching financial stability on the ewbsite as a commercial entity, which is always a good thing)

Like some sweet love-making

Like almost finishing this book I'm writing (the 2nd one this year) that contains 12 micro-biographies of financial advisors, among the hardest thing I've ever written because I get so into each individual in order to present them in both the truest and the most flattering list (like a Renaissance portrait painter was supposed to do)

Like finding a new author who i think is great: Bonnie Gintis, osteopath, but more about that when I finish her book...

Less is more. Thanks for reading my micro-biopgraphy of the last month.

Been Tagged, So Here's Seven "Weird" or Random Things About Me

OK, I was tagged by Victoria at http://victoria-is.zaadz.com/blog

Here are the rules:

1. Link to the person’s blog who tagged you.

2. Post these rules on your blog.

3. List seven random and/or weird facts about yourself.

4. Tag seven random [?] people at the end of your post and include links to their blogs.

5. Let each person know that they have been tagged by posting a comment on their blog. or shout-out wall.

————————————————————————————————————————–

Seven random and/or weird facts about myself.

1. My high school friend and schoolmate Peter Keisler just finished up his stint as Acting Attorney General of the United States of America.

2. I've done three firewalks over hot coals but I don't like snorkeling unless I have a boogey-board to hold onto when I want to come up to rest and have air.

3. I have bounced (rebounded) for an average of 45 minutes a night for over 5 years now, and as a result I seem to be 1/4 inch taller (according to my medical doctor), plus I get sick much less frequently...

4. I used to sell cigarettes, novelty purses (like purses shaped like fishes), and newspapers at a small Manhattan boutique called Hudson Street Papers at night while my full-time day job was being a grantwriter at a major New York City social services agency, F.E.G.S.

5. Enlightenment.Com, which I founded in 1995, was for all practical purposes one of the very first-ever psycho-spiritual blogs and is now among the longest-running psycho-spiritually oriented websites (and the Archival Revival is proceeding apace, so check out the book reviews and interviews and other things available there!)

6. I sing all the time, in the shower, by myself, with my daughter, and whenever I can get away with it; at dinner, we have a "no singing" rule, or else things get out of hand...and nearly every one of my all-time favorite groups or musicians is from the British empire: The Beatles, David Bowie, Queen, Leonard Cohen, the Moody Blues. Ay?

7. Not only do I unfailingly believe in psi/ESP/parapsychology (please read Dean Radin's book The Conscious Universe and then read my interview of him on Enlightenment.Com before even talking to me about this), but I have definitively experienced psi, or synchronicity control, on many, many occasions, including a few that have involved, well, weather magic.

Professor Charley Tart Videos On Transference and Other Subjects

Posted on Nov 27th, 2007 by Jordan : LightWriter Jordan
Well, I am very pleased to once again make available video clips from the 1999 interview I did with Professor Charley Tart. I'm embedding just one of those videos here (a timely clip having to do with spiritual teachers not understanding transference) in this blog, but for the rest of them, please go to http://www.enlightenment.com/media/videointerviews/tart2.html.

Why should you care about what Charley Tart has to say? Well, Professor Tart is a long-time consciousness researcher who has written seminal books on alterted states of conscoisuness, parapsychology, and many other fascinating subjects. He's also a very down to earth and nice man who walks his talk and has a lot to say of value about many subjects.

Personally, when I was back in college in the late 1970's, I ran into his book on parapsychology (PSI) and was literally gripped by his careful scientific evaluation and systematic way of approaching the subject. I feel very lucky to have met him and spent a little time with him later in my life.

In any case, enjoy this clip, and then come take a look at the rest of them. -- Jordan
