Hi all. It's early in the day right now, so I haven't bounced yet. But I have put up a basic equpment F.A.Q., which I've been wanting to do for a while. So, if you have any questions about what kind it's going to take to get yourself involved with ChiBouncing, take a look at:

It went really well today. It had been cloudier earlier, but by 5:45 or so the sun was out and coming to me from fairly low in the sky, but still fairly strong. I put on Bowie's Reality, and went the whole time, including a very intense handweights set (meaning 150 reps on each of the first two handweights exercises I do, and 100 on the last). I've been asked a lot about rebounding, weight loss, and muscle tone. That's a complex topic that I'll probably cover in a F.A.Q. relatively soon, but I will say now that rebounding will give you the benefits of any other aerobic exercise and will also give you strength and muscle toning benefits throughout your core and the rest of your upper body (especially if you use handweights). I know that I, personally, have more core muscle than I've ever had before, and although I've gone down from two to one weight lifting sessions per week, I've actually gained a bit in upper body muscularity.

I even stopped to answer the phone on the last song, using the speakerphone, and managed to have a good ending even though I was holding the phone in one hand. I brought most of the bouncing energy through one side of my body (by straightening the knee on the other leg) and bounced down and through with the side of my body not holding the phone. Then I swtiched. This is the kind of thing that will probably come across clearer on video!
